Cedar Hill SP

Spent weekend at Cedar Hill State Park. 30-40 minutes from central northern Dallas (longer from Plano and other northerly burbs).

Nice Park! We were intending to camp primitive, but due to rains and perceived erosion problems, the two trails leading to primitive camping were closed. We took a pad site instead. Got one with noone near us so it was sufficiently secluded, yet we had water for washing up and a fire ring for pyro fun. Still boiled half our food.

Going back in a couple of weeks probably to try the primitive sites and trails.

Nice place, especially considering proximity to town. Wally World, fast food, and gas less than 10 minutes away. Unfortunately insomniac quail accompanied by highway noise and jets at night. Otherwise cool place!
