We've done both. New gets a bit crowded. If you find yourself hollering for the kids, NG might be better as you would disturb fewer people. If taking a site in OG with W&E, get one that backs up to the cabins, there is more shade and the deer walk thru there at night.

If you choose NG, get a site along the outer edge that backs up to the river. We were given a site with partial shade and a private trail to the river. That was great! We didn't need to pack the cooler in the car, just send a kid up the hill to get his own drink, while you stay in your nice little spot by the river. We went the weekend after Labor day last year and on Sunday, had the park to ourself. We broke camp after breakfast, left the truck in the site, and swam all day. We drove home wet, sunburned, and happy!
