The sites are owned and managed by the same company. The National Park Service and other federal lands also have a contract with ReserveAmerica to provide online park reservations, in this case, through the Recreation.gov website.
We still provide some Recreation.gov links here on WildTexas.com until I have time to find a landing page for federal lands to aim people to that provides some alternatives, just like the TPWD landing page I direct people to which includes the phone number, the email capability, etc.
