attention creek newts and crawfishers

as I mentioned over in my choke canyon thread under parks, the book is now available...What book? THE BOOK. Texas Crawdads. A complete and profusely illustrated field guide to the species of the Lone Star state. I expect butterfly and bird watchers across the state will abandon their posts and life lists in droves to pursue the newest and greatest of all naturalist pursuits, the hunt for crawdads...we all loved it as kids, haven't you ever wondered why you stopped??? Please enjoy and please let us know what you think and what you see when you hit the ditches.

seriously, conservation of any species begins with an awareness of that species existence and diversity, after which appreciation will surely follow, and inevitably concern for the creature and it's habitats, this book is meant to accomplish the goal of helping people to know these wonderful creatures, it has been a work long in the making, a dream of two men, and while it would be impossible to recoup the expense of its production, that was never really the goal to begin with. I hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to truly get to #now this states crawfishes.
