Hi, my name is Kevin. I recently sold a 37 ft. 5th wheel. It was my first RV. I really enjoyed it but it was too big for my needs as well as it was getting a little old (1996). I am in the process of gathering information for a new RV. I am wanting about a 25 to 30 foot RV. I am married with a son and may have 1 to 2 more kids. We will use the trailer about 6 times a year in about a 300 mile radius. I have a few basic questions that I would like to have discussed. What is better, metal or fiberglass exterior? Travel trailer or 5th wheel? Are slide-outs something else to go wrong with the trailer or a very useful item to gain space? Someone please advise. I plan on attending the Dallas RV Show next weekend and would like to have a better idea of what to look for. Thank you for any responses.
