On another trip we backpacked the eastern most section of the Ozark Highland Trail where it stops at the Buffalo River at Woolum. We forded Richland Creek, which at that time was waist high, and picked up the Buffalo River Trail on the other side. (We had to hoist our packs above our heads a la Hercules to keep them dry.
)
It was a 15 mile hike from Richland Creek to the Tyler Bend Visitor Center where our vehicle was parked.
