Inks Lake is a nice park. The only negative thing I might say is that it will probably be very crowded that weekend. Like Garner, it is one of those parks that is always packed on spring & summer weekends (or at least it always has been when I've been there that time of year). It has about 6 miles of hiking trails, on which one may see a lot of interesting rock (granite) formations. At the north/east end of the park, there is a nice swimming hole with small waterfalls. Some years it has a fantastic wildflower display, but that is mainly earlier (late March-early April), and not sure if that will happen this year with the ongoing drought. In any case, I bet y'all will have a good time, as long as you don't mind crowds.
