The gallon jugs filled with water will help out at the end of the day, too. Pour the water over each other right before getting into the car. Save that last half of jug to wash the "last one in the car" 's feet off. Makes for a more comfy ride home.

Not sure if you'll be able to park on the beach but if you can, a regular tarp canopy will do. Tie one side off to your vehicle and at the other 2 corners use the poles. It will take at least 3 people to set this up if its really windy. As the day wears on you will have to move your chairs to stay in the shade.
