Thank you. Those sites were helpful, but I finally stumbled across one like I was thinking about. It has about a dozen different options like size, shapes, locations and what-not that you can enter about the bird you are looking for and every field you enter narrows down their list. As the list gets shorter you can start looking at the pictures.
It is at
Birds of North America - Whatbird.com and strangely enough is part of a commercial site for feeders and such. I have never seen two sites like this combined, but when you think about it, it does kinda make sense.
By the way, my bird is a female American Kestrel.
