I'm a big-time researcher and planner, too, but I have my moments of temporary insanity -- it's usually how I wind up buying new computers, with "just looking" turning rapidly and inexplicably into "buy now!"
There are things I've jumped at that were perfect decisions at the time, though -- like our first house, or my wedding dress, which in both cases I bought the first one we looked at! Impulsiveness is sometimes just another word for trusting your gut and not giving in to "
analysis paralysis".
Again, congrats, and do let us know how the inaugural trip goes! We've rented a pop-up travel trailer once, and can definitely see the merits of one.
