I can only comment on Fairfield. It is a nice park in the Piney Woods on a good fishing lake. The park is sort of spread out a little, from pier to campsites (some at least). Coming from Alvin you would pass up some other spots that would offer as much or more than Fairfield. Have you thought about Somerville, Huntsville, Ft Parker or even Bastrop/Beuscher? If bank or pier fishing with close campsites is what you are seeking, these fill the bill.
