hello all ;i.ve talk with other proffesionals some like the scope for the distance. that you can zoom in on, but the claitey and lack of fine detail and we belive that a camera company would make there own version of a scope for people to use. For instance taking pictures of birds from great distances. Some of Canon lenses are in the tens of thousand of dollars so i guess to answer the question you ,ll have to see if it,s right for you. it,s not for me. but cost is an issue for all . mabey, you can take use to school and we might learn from you on the pro,s and cons of a spotter scope my camera store where i buy all my supplies won,t even think of getting me one when i checked in to them a few years back, but 350 seems high you can find a good used all set up for have the price
