I probably will only get a 1000mm out of it due to atmospheric presure and due to filters cant be put on it, but it only costs $350.00.

MY question is should I buy this lense? and would anybody Know if I can change the aperature on this lense though my camera? MY camera is a Nikon F80

P.S the sales people didnt know anything.
Let me start by saying that I do not have personal experience with using this particular spotting scope. In general, I can say that while some of these scopes have adapters that allow them to be used by cameras - you will NOT have the quality and versatility that a traditional lens would provide. I doubt you'll have the ability to change the aperture, for example.
