Re: Fall Time Hummers

Getting the same thing here. They seemed to slow down last week and I was wondering if they might have left a bit early. This week, their back in force and really fighting hard to get at the feeder. Haven't had any issues with bees this year. Usually struggle to keep the ants out of the feeder but that hasn't even been an issue. I use a good sized dab of vasoline on the rod the feeder hangs on to stop the ants. Works well but usually has to be replenished a time or two through the season. Haven't touched it since the feeder was hug in early May.

Guess we'll see how much longer they hang around. Don't figure it will be more then a week or two and then they'll be gone untill next spring . Oh, well. At least we know they'll be back .

Happy Camping!
