Isn't that a spectacular drive? Star Mountain is particularly impressive - It's the large flat-topped mountain you wind around to the right just before you go through the Wild Rose Pass. There are interesting stories about Army patrols and Apache raiding parties when those trails were blazed, in William MacLeod's book
