Welcome David! This is a wonderful forum and everyone is very helpful! I am on the Gulf Coast but LOVE to camp in the Piney Woods. The heat can be a bit much but you can cheat like we do by bringing along a portable AC or installing one of the AC boots that is mentioned in the Camping forum and using just a standard window unit.
