The wife and I have been to LBSSP many times to ride bikes and hike, but we've only camped there once. We've always found the staff helpful and friendly, and the facilities are good. There are no full hookups in the park. Sites are moderate in size, but good tree cover adds to privacy. There are lakeside spots, but the slopes are pretty steep. There are also screened-in shelters available.
Wife enjoys fishing. There is a fishing pier near the boat ramp. When we were there in May, several folks on the pier were catching some. Lake level was still down then, but I'm sure it is much improved now.
There's about 5 miles of hiking/biking trails in the park, including a short nature trail that identifies plants. There are also 2 small ponds where fishing is allowed. One is called the Trout Pond.
I reviewed the hiking trails at

While in Pittsburg, you might want to eat at the Pittsburg Hot Links place downtown. It's sort of a local/regional institution. I don't really care for the hot links, but the burgers and other food is good. It is a block south of the main east/west street downtown.
Pittsburg, by the way, is home to Pilgrim's Pride, so you will see evidence of that enterprise everywhere in town.
Enjoy.
