Have and do hike it often. It is a great trail with a shelter in the middle. The end by Nechec Bluff is a really pretty area.
Water is best tanked (many cross roads). I round tripped it in the spring 22 each way) I hiked it early October of this year. I would really recommend it but not till January. Gun season for hunters and national forest are a dangerous combo.
