Doingy

I have lived in Texas about two years but have not really gotten out of San Antonio. I am looking to go camping this weekend and was looking for suggestions. I would like to camp on a beach somewhere and really that is all I know. I have read about North Padre National Seashore and this seems kind of like my speed. I do not have a vehicle which could traverse the outer reaches of the park and was wondering if this is a problem. Anyone who could share their experiences or give any recommendations, would be greatly appreciated. Also if you have any non-beach recommendations for camp sites. I am pretty basic when I camp; tent, fire, dog is really all I need.
