I have stayed at Mustang Island in a travel trailer and have used the public showers. They are not bad. They are cleaner then Balli park. I've never been to Magee. Mustang Island is a state park and Balli and Magee are Nueces county parks. In general the state parks have usually been a little better then the county parks in my experiences. Either way having the ability to take a shower is a big plus. I always were my flip flops in public showers. Not many bike trails. Unless you want to ride in the sand or the parking lot where the RV's are; but, bikes would come in handy for riding to the showers.
