That mix should do well. I've mostly use a 1 to 4 mix of sugar and water for a long time with good success. I double the sugar for the first batch of the year. Seems to act as a "primer" and gets them coming on a regular basis. I then back it down to 1 to 4 for the rest of the year. This seems to get them to come more often through the day. Get a kick out of watching them buzz around trying to see who's going to get in first.
