A couple weeks ago someone (Thorn, I believe) wrote about a private campground near Colorado Bend State Park called Sulphur Springs Inc (

I was wondering if anyone else has been there and what their experience may have been. I noticed from the website that they don't take reservations for tent camping, is this going to be a big issue in the next month or two? I'm worried that if the white bass start running good that maybe the camp grounds will fill up fast. Opinions?
What about Colorado Bend SP? Do they generally fill up during this time of the year? How is the fishing out there? Are all the campsites 'primitive'? Do they have any showers in the park?
We mostly do 'car camping' and like to have spots where we're not right up on top of our neighbors. Oh and really prefer to be able to have FIRE.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!
