Re: Discuss: Goliad State Historical Park

We just went to Goliad State Park about 3 weeks ago and had a GREAT time.

I would recommend this park to anyone who likes hiking, biking, nature trails, history, ect.

The RV sites are spaced far apart, and each site has ALOT of area. All sites in the RV area have full hook-ups, picnic table, fire ring, and grill. There is only one Restroom / Shower building in the RV camping area. There are two sides (Male & Female) with each side having 2 showers, sink and a few toilet stalls. Even though there was only one bath house, we never had a line to use the showers ect. However we were there in Oct which is "off season", in the summer it may be a different story although if that was the case then we could always just shower in our RV.

The camp store sells small bundles of firewood for $5 as gathering your own firewood is prohibited.

Here is a little slide show of our trip there. (Give it a minute or two to start when you click on the link)

BTW - We only have two kids, all those other kids in the pics were children that our kids made friends with from the other sites.

We will definately be going back again, and luckily for us it's only just about 1hr away from us.
