The last time we were at Inks Lake, we stayed below the bridge right off the road that goes to the dam. There is carpet grass that grows right up to the river bank. We pitched out tent about 5 feet from the shore and looking out the tent flap it felt like we were right on top of the water. The floating cafe was a short walk away and served some pretty good food. The carp gather in mass next to the cafe walkway and churn the water like a bunch of piranna's during feeding time. It's a neat experience.
