Re: Reserve America down for 6 days now!!!
I got presented a survey and when asked to describe the site in one word, I chose, "broken".
I like the idea of online bookings, but am perplexed as to why Texas doesn't have an in-house web program for reservations.
Texas is certainly financially equipped to pay for this, I'm amazed by them using a 3rd party. I can see where national travelers can reserve a spot anywhere in the country and have Texas be included - so a "one stop shop" for reservations seems logical in that sense alone.
On the other hand, Reserve America does a lot of good things, but the bloopers make me think the bottom line is they are "C-R-A-P" in a word.
While I'm on the soap-box, I can also see why they don't allow site specific reservations -- people would grab up the good spots and maybe not come, and if people only saw less desireable spots available, they might not even show up.
I wish they would allow site-specific reservations, with a 5 dollar fee added and it become non-refundable immediately and should you not show up. I don't like this show up and see, game. Show me the map, let me pick my spot and if I want something on the water - I pay more like the hotels do at the beach. If I no-show, charge me for it.
