Yes fishing is free again this year in state parks.

My question to you is, how much fishing are you going to do? Getting into state parks isn't free. If you think you'll fish more than 10 times in a year, a license would be a better deal. There just $38 for resident all water ( not just the free state park waters).

Portions of both your fishing license and state parks pass go towards stocking and maintenance in the areas you'll be enjoying fishing. Why not pay?
