It is right on Hwy 281 and situated for the most part below the highway, down at river level. Yes, from places in the park you definitely hear and see the highway, but if you are near the water spillway and such the sounds you are more likely to hear are kids laughing and ducks quacking.

I have never camped there but have been there on short daytrips, including a couple to do some birding (unaffected by proximity to highway due to plenty of tree cover and the ample presence of water.)
