Here is just another idea, Offroad parks. there are several in east tx area. First 2 off the top of head are Shiloh ridge in Alto texas and Barnwell in Gilmore tx. There are many more that have opened up. If you dont mind the offroad folks its pretty nice. Like at gilnore you have 2000 plus acres to camp and do what you want. As long as you dont block a trail. Weekends are busy, weekdays can be very nice.
just an idea.
