Very nice trip report and pictures, Turn Key. Do you recognize the locale of my avatar? The pic is kinda small but it's Emerald Lake, looking southwest to Hallet's Peak. A hiker heading back to the trailhead said that there was a rock climber inching towards the summit of Hallet's but I never did spot him/her.

Go to my profile and find another picture of the falls between Dream Lake and Emerald Lake. As others have probably noted in Turn Key's pictures, there are plenty of others sharing the trails. If one seeks any semblance of solititude, you have to start hiking early, like 8 am or earlier.
