"pop" the images do! The L Series lenses from Canon are simply amazing. I didn't want to get a fixed focal length lens because I feel caged in with those, but I have been looking and dreaming about the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. With a 1.4 or 2x multiplier (haven't made up my mind on that one yet) it would give me 448 or 640 effective mm. I think I would probably go with the 2x multiplier as it would open up several situations that could not be done with 448. One of the things I really like about the lens is that the f/2.8 will be much nicer than the 300mm 5.6 I work with now. I realize the 2x multiplier would make the 2.8 effectively 5.6, but hey... I would have 640 figgen MM!
