We've camped Choke Canyon-Calliham unit on three occasions. Great park, but yeah, that 11 mile stretch from Three Rivers only to find it's closed would be a bummer! More of a bummer now that the swimming pool has been closed.
According to the
TPWD website, only the Calliham unit has no potable water. South Shore unit is unaffected.
