Come on down, what are you waiting for??
I have been here all my life and Yes, we do get a little annoyed at trespassers. But change is inevitable and the door mat is out.
I think that once your settled down and get the chance to explore the area around San Antonio, you won't be disappointed. The hill country isn't the Rockies and the rivers aren't like the Mississippi or the Ohio, but it is special.
So many small towns with their own special spirit, are out there waiting to be found by you.
The parks can and will get crouded. I have rarely have had a bad camping trip in a state park. Most are looked after very well by people who truly love what they are doing.(park host and employees) The campers that are there are mostly families that respect one another and it shows.
So pack your bags and load up the truck( you have to have a truck in Texas).
We will be waiting for ya!!
P.S. Bring some rain , Please.
