This park is not what it seemed,My Family and I visited Calaveras park on June 6-7 2006 and The park charged us for both our 10 year old and 0ur 8 year old the only free was our 5 year old.Not only that but the concession stand is not open til 11PM as stated by their site!!! It closes at 10pm SHARP!
The park is full of litter and dead fish carcasses,it was not a PLEASANT visit at all in fact we were so dismayed by the park that we left half way through our camping trip to this park!The smell of the area we camped at was so overwhelming that members of my famliy began to feel ill!Do yourself a favor and find a better place to go!

I live in Lake Whitney Tx and NO WHERE on this lake is any of it's parks this deplorable!This was my first and will be my LAST visit to this park!!
