Have you tried canyonoftheeagles.com ?

Canyon of the Eagles is nice but it's a good bit east of the highway for a one night stand. If all else fails and it isn't too expensive, how about paying for the two nights at Lake Georgetown and only staying the one? I know, I'd hate to do it too but if you can't find anything else...
Another thought. Don't know what your camping in or where your coming from. If your in a hard-side of some sort, you might think of staying at a Wal-Mart or Flying J. There's a Wal-Mart in Marble Falls on the north side of town on the west side of 281. There's a Flying J on I-35 just south of Waco. Can't recall the exit number but there are signs for it and it's on the west side of the freeway. Have stopped there many times for fuel and figure it wouldn't be a bad place to park for the night. Just a thought.
Welcome to Wild Texas and Happy Camping!
