Sure would recommend it if you like a nice quite park with great facilities. Park Hosts keep that place in above average condition and seem to take personal pride in the park. "Birding" and wild life observation is one of the main pass times in this park with a number of blinds having been put up. My favorite is the Cedar Waxwing. A very pretty bird that we do not have in my part of Texas. Lots of deer and turkey roam freely in the park and you can watch from your camp site. There was also at one time, one large white rabbit (a long story and don't know if he's still hanging around or not). Park Hosts used to maintain a couple of hummingbird feeders at their sites. It was not uncommon to find 100+ hummers feeding in the morning or evening. Birds were so used to people being around that, if you moved slowly, you could get within inches of the feeders without disturbing them. Oustanding! I'm assuming they still do this but don't know for sure. This is the park that got me started feeding hummers and other birds in our back yard.

People tube the river a good bit but that is really all there is for the kiddos except for some fair fishing in the river or small pond. Park tends to attract a more mature group of campers, at least in the spring time.

I really do like this park and would recommend it to any one looking for some quite camping. If you have any other questions, please post and I or some one else will try to answer. Hope you give it a try and have a great time.
