You need to pour your refreshing beverage into a plastic cup. All Texas state parks have this rule. You can drink but be discreet and do not cause a scene. If you are really drunk do not go to the river. The currents can be very strong no matter how good of a swimmer you are the current can sweep you off your feet. This is kind of a family park that is close to town so you will see children. Just remember to treat others the way you would like to be treated.
