Yes, most definitely add tarps, say, 10x12 or larger. Also, get parachute cord for ropes. It is very strong and can be used for all types of things. e.g.- clothesline, tarps, tying innertubes together, hanging lanterns, you name it , it can be done with para-cord. It is light weight and doesn't take up much room.
I would also add large nails (bridge timber nails), say 4 to 6 inches long for tenting in hard or rocky ground. They make great tent stakes and will last forever.
