Since the lake is a power plant lake there is good fishing there year round, as has been posted before there is no swimming. The fishing is always decent, but it's not uncommon for us (3-4people) to come back with 30+ lbs of fish fillets after about 6-8 hours on the water. Typically we fish on a boat but you can do some good without. Also, REPORT YOUR FISH AS YOU LEAVE!!! They stock the lake based on the numbers they get from the fishermen / women. If you fail to tell them how many you catch it only hurts all of us in the long run.
