Perhaps that was mine.
I camped there for a weekend in June 2003 and wasn't too impressed. But then, this was the time of year when area temps are normally in the high 90's-low 100's. Wildlife seemed relegated to mainly snakes. No shade trees and the terrain was a bit more rustic than I preferred. The showers/restroom wasn't exactly well-kept and the scorpions I observed in there didn't help matters any.
Hopefully, some of this has changed...as I have read from others about the birding opportunites at this park. Good luck.
