There's not much directly around the plant, and I'm not real familiar with the area, but it will be growing now that Toyota's there. Just for reference, here's an aerial photo I took of the Toyota plant under construction back in mid-September 2005.

Justin and I live on the Northeast side of San Antonio (off Hwy 1604 & Blanco Road, the highly congested "Stone Oak" area), and my parents live on the Northwest side of town (by the University of Texas at San Antonio).

Both are good areas of town, if you don't have the option or desire to live near the plant. Property taxes and the like are much higher in the NE due to the Northeast Independent School District. Otherwise, no complaints from us beyond the usual San Antonio traffic complaints.
