Re: best places to camp in Texas
I would suggest either Gaudalupe River State Park (Texas Hill Country and close to San Antonio) or Inks Lake State Park (also in the Texas Hill Country but further from San Antonio). Here's some references to reviews I've written on both parks:
Inks Lake State Park
Guadalupe River State Park 2004 (Part 1)
Guadalupe River State Park 2004 (Part 2)
There should be another review for Guadalupe River State Park in the files but I can't find it for some reason. It was from another trip we made there back in '03 and gives more info about the park itself. I do have it on disc and would be pleased to send it your way. Just e-mail or PM and it's yours. No matter what,
Welcome to Texas and Happy Camping!
