The river was such a refreshing place to cool off during the day. I spent lots of my time riding my bicycle around the park on the trails. And each day I would also ride my bike to Hwy 46 which is an 11 mile ride from the park to the highway and back. Those hills up there gave me a good workout. Even though I was camping by myself this time, I had many visitors who visited me nightly.....raccoons and armadillos! They kept me company throughout my trip. I highly recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a fun place to camp.

Glad you enjoyed your trip! As Justin (my husband, username: OutdoorPhoto.com) mentioned, Guadalupe River SP is one of our favorites in this part of Texas.
I'd be interested in knowing how much gear, food, water (if any), etc. you brought along for a 7 day/night campout. I'm aware the walk-in sites have water, so you probably didn't bring much, but for food what did you get by with?
