Justin and I have camped at the Bastrop cabins several times over the years -- usually in the "Davy Crockett" cabin (#8 or #12, I believe). We have also stayed at the State Park cabins in Arkansas which arguably have some of the best cabins of all U.S. State Parks! Their cabins are equal to what you'd hope for in a nice vacation rental property.

The Bastrop cabins are 'rustic' in that they're not like a rental home you might stay in -- they definitely are CCC era, but they do have upgrades like A/C, bathroom with shower, a small kitchen area, a small refrigerator, a stove (some have an oven, as well). A grill and picnic table are outside most, if not all, of the cabins.

If I find some photos of the cabins from our trips, I'll post them in this thread.
