YAY! I finally got a decent digital, and one that isn't broken!! I also got a few lenses for my old Nikon F2 Photomic as well, so photography has been fun!
I bought the Canon 300D with the EF-S 18-55mm lens - which makes a fairly decent wide angle lens surprisingly - for $612 on ebay! But now I have to drool over the L lenses for a while until I can get some more money saved up. The EF-S just doesn't really do it for me, especially after looking through my Nikkor and Micro Nikkor lenses!!!! I just don't like the fact that there is no footages on the lens for manual focus, and I have become accustomed to the split center focus screen. So I am struggling with getting any of my manual focus shots right with this lens. Other than that, it isn't too bad for a cheap lens.
I have only taken a few pictures with it thus far, partly because I am having fun with all my lenses for my Nikon. If anyone is interested in checking the pictures out (I highly encourage some criticism!)
