Actually, Mark, if you're looking for a loop hike for the group on Saturday, then the one I did today might work. It starts at the Richards Trailhead and about a quarter of a mile down the main trail there's an intersection that goes right to the Little Lake Creek Loop. But here's what I did: I hiked the main trail for about 3 and 1/4 miles and when I came to the West Fork Trail, I took it (to the west, naturally) until I came to another intersection (Little Lake Creek Trail). I turned right on the LLC trail which headed back in the direction of the parking lot. It intersected again with the Main Trail; I turned left and was back at the car in another 1/4 mile.
By the way, no mud and standing water on the trail, which surprized me. Hope this helps. Oh, I forgot to mention it's about 7 miles total.
