It's almost official, I've been contacted by the LSHT and I'm meeting them at this weekends Work-Hike.

SATURDAY’S EVENT:

Saturday, December 18, Christmas Jingle-Bell Hike. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at L.S.H.T. PARKING LOT #14 - FIRE TOWER (FM 2025, 6.3 miles north of US 59). From Houston, go north on US 59, take the Coldspring exit, 2025 just past Cleveland, TX. Go northwest (left) 6.3 miles to the trailhead on the right side of the road, just past the sawmill. Hike: Winters Bayou or Tarkington Loop (see attached map) depending on trail conditions. RIFLE HUNTING SEASON; WEAR ORANGE (and Jingle Bells) IN THE FOREST.

I'm very much looking forward to this new adventure.
