A-men. Quite honestly I don't know what I would have done. Looking back at everything I am glad I didn't walk up on anyone. I have two beautiful little girls at home and a baby on the way that I have to think about. I'm not doing them much good if I loose my head & something unthinkable happens. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who feels this way. I guess what my wife told me is true. It's all just stuff. It can all be replaced, but I can't be.
With that being said, what would you do about replacing it. Me and my stuff were not in my truck, but instead we rode w/ a friend. I've asked her (through e-mails) if she has spoken to her insurance agent yet about if contents in the bed of her truck are covered. She has never responded. I'm looking at about $500 worth of items. Total amount lost between all 4 of us was in the neighborhood of about $1800 - $2400. Our friendship is worth much more than that, but I don't know how hard I should push the issue. Any suggestions? I've also been told that I might want to try talking to my insurance agent & claiming it on my homeowners policy. Do we have any agents in the house? I am only wanting to replace minimal items that I lost. But I don't want anyones premiums to go up. Should I just cut my loses, keep my friends, and forget about it?
I feel like I'm writeing Dear Abbey.
Thanks for listening to me.
