What a beautiful snake but very shy. Both times it crawled off rapidly. I've not been biten by a snake or spider but have been stung by a Man-O-War. I can't remember if it was in the waters of Galveston or Surfside as it was many years ago. Like Kai has said about the jellyfish, it was painful but not terrible.

I've been to Corpus a few times when there were so many Jellyfish in the water that you could see 'em in the waves as they came into shore. There must be certain times of year or certain environmental conditions that resulted in that situation...
I've been stung by a Jellyfish down at Corpus... I hear meat tenderizer is a good home remedy... I'm sure we all have some of that packed with us, eh?
