Re: Texas on Two Wheels

Hey Jeff,
I just finished reading a book about a Swede who biked from Sweden to Nepal (over 7000 miles) to Everest Base Camp in order to climb Mt. Everest. His main obective was to climb Mt Everest unaided. He obviously had a bike trailer to haul all of his camping and climbing equipment. He then stashed his bike in a small town and backpacked his gear over the approach trail to Base Camp.
He was eventually successful in climbing the mountain but his journey was only half completed as he packed up, remounted his bike and returned home to a hero's welcome.
Has a long distance trip ever had any appeal to you? Well, not necessarily 7000 miles worth but something on the order of the length or breadth of Texas? Just curious.
