Is there anyone in the San Antonio area that fly fishes? Its something my husband and I would like to get into (he has before, a few times- he's from the Pac NW- but he's not proficient at it), and we could use some guidance/suggestions/anything will help. Our first outing sometime later this year will probably be @ Pedernales SP- there seems to be a lot of river frontage there & not too many areas where we'll get snagged up in trees (seems to be a good idea for a beginner).
I have a feeling that the best way to learn is to just go ahead & get out there & do it... but any advice would be welcome, if anyone is willing to share. I guess I'm looking for suggetsions on places to go (I know, I know- all fishing holes are SECRETS
), good local shops, clubs, instructors, anything...
